Don’t leave out the relative pronoun – even if you could do it.
Luke: Tell me more about that Victorian tour you took part in.
Jay: The man told the story was wearing Victorian clothes, and the story he told was actually quite scary. The murder happened in that street was awful.
Luke: Did you speak to the other people were on the tour? What were they like?
Jay: They were just normal people wanted to learn about London’s history, I think. I didn’t really speak to anybody. The people next to me were tourists didn’t speak much English.
Luke: Do you think they understood the story?
Jay: Maybe. A lot of it was acted. There was one actor face was familiar. Perhaps he’s been on TV.
Luke: Was that the actor pipe you found?
Jay: That’s right.
Luke: Is that the pipe you found?
Jay: This pipe in my hand? No, I’ve got lots of pipes. This is the pipe my parents gave me for my birthday last year.
